THE INAUGURAL NIC CONFERENCE – “FUTURE READY ASIA”
Medicine

As Asia is tested against the current state of affairs, the National University of Singapore (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS Medicine) aims to leverage its role as a leading medical and academic institution in driving discourse on Asia’s trajectory over the next 20 to 30 years.

Asia is facing a highly dynamic period in modern times, grappling with challenges brought on by rapidly ageing populations, technological disruption, climate change, and political uncertainty in the U.S. and Europe. As the region is tested against the current state of affairs, the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS Medicine) aims to leverage its role as a leading medical and academic institution in driving discourse on Asia’s trajectory over the next 20 to 30 years.

The NUSMed International Council (NIC) is proud to gather leading figures from the fields of medical research, government, policy, business, finance, energy, and technology for its inaugural members’ meeting – Future Ready Asia. From 20 - 22 April 2017, NIC members will be examining these pressing challenges, and exchanging ideas over Asia’s role and strategy within the global context through a series of plenary lectures and moderated panel discussions.

Chaired by former U.S. Ambassador to Singapore, Mr Frank Lavin, the Conference features prominent speakers such as Dr Beh Swan Gin, Chairman of the Singapore Economic Development Board; Mr Jostein Eikeland, Executive Chairman of global energy storage enterprise, Alevo; Dr Brian K. Kennedy from the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, USA; Dr Assaad Razzouk, Group CEO, Sindicatum Sustainable Resources, Singapore; as well as the current British, French, and German ambassadors to Singapore.

We would like to invite you and your photographer/camera crew to cover this Conference, and to meet with our distinguished speakers.
