First International Forum for Next Generation Synchrotron Radiation
Technology

Tohoku University will host a closed door stakeholder’s meeting on April 21, followed by the inaugural International forum on next-generation synchrotron radiation on April 22.

In 2018, a coalition of five organisations were selected to establish Japan’s first next-generation synchrotron radiation facility as part of a large-scale research complex at Tohoku University’s Aobayama Campus.

Ahead of construction, Tohoku University will host a closed door stakeholder’s meeting on April 21, followed by the inaugural International forum on next-generation synchrotron radiation on April 22.

The forum will bring together researchers from top universities and research institutes around the world, and discussions will focus on promoting strategic research collaborations while hearing from experts in the field about how best to jointly utilize the facilities.

Anyone interested in attending the forum on April 22 should register through the link below. The forum will be in English and is free. There will also be an optional banquet in the evening. Tickets cost 10,000 yen and can be purchased at the door.
