Natural products: Cage closed

A team of RIKEN researchers has synthesized a key fragment of the natural product called physalin B, which shows both antitumor and anti-inflammatory activity. The work will make an important contribution towards the goal of synthesizing the whole compound, which has eluded chemists since its discovery in 1969.

Press Release - Real-time control of wheelchairs with brain waves

In a press conference today BSI-TOYOTA Collaboration Center announced that they have succeeded in developing a system which utilizes one of the fastest technologies in the world, controlling a wheelchair using brain waves in as little as 125 milliseconds.
